Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message and use it to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Like most hosted sites, the service records ordinary server-log data, including an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies or similar tools may support basic measurement and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, readership measurement, and improvements to the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual visitors.
External Services and Links
Links can lead to Franklin County and Ohio records portals, Columbus collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The destination service controls information you provide there under its own privacy practices. That includes the provider behind sponsored results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the ordinary logs needed to operate the reference. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it and otherwise only as stated here.
Protecting Site Data
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. Because there are no accounts, the site does not hold visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or removal of personal data a website maintains. Since we keep little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Ohio has no verified general consumer-privacy deletion law that removes official public records. Records held by Columbus, Franklin County, or Ohio offices are outside our control; ORC 149.45 provides a targeted redaction process for specified online personal information through the record-holding office.
Policy Changes
Updates will appear on this page. Continued use after a revision means you accept the revised policy.
